Introduction and Certification of a quality management system according to DIN ISO 9001 in production and administration.

Market launch of a new generation of SHEV and Ventilation control units, type EMB7000 and introduction of the heavy duty spindle drive PLS in a round, slim aluminium housing with 50mm diameter and up to 5000 N power. Further development of the Rack and Pinion Drive LKS98 - new, compact motor gearbox unit an attractive plastic housing.

Reiner Aumüller is appointed Chairman of the "Smoke Exhaust and Natural Ventilation Expert Group" in the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association.

2nd construction phase at the Thierhaupten site

The second construction phase is completed at the Thierhaupten production site, with 3000 m² covered area and an investment of 5 million DM.

With the relocation of the electronic and control unit production, as well as the warehouse, the entire production operation is moved from Augsburg to Thierhaupten.

First major international projects

The sales activities are extended to the Asian region and the first major projects are implemented in Japan in cooperation with German facade construction companies.

The first KSA chain drive, developed and manufactured by AUMÜLLER itself, is introduced.

New Corporate Design

With the beginning of the 21st Century, AUMÜLLER presents itself in a completely new, contemporary corperate design.

The first test benches with automated test cycles and data bus connection for recording and storing product characteristics during final quality control are introduced in production.

Extension of Product Portfolio

AUMÜLLER expands its portfolio with:

• SHEV and Ventilation Control Unit EMB7200 with VdS Approval for stairwells,
• Ventilation Control Unit Type LZ1 and LZ6, with up to 6 ventilation lines, controllable with 3 priorities,
• Folding Arm Drives FTA600 for operating doors as air supply inlets for SHEV-Systems,
• Control Units and acsessories for integration of SHEV- and Ventilation Systems in LON-Bus Data Networks for building management systems.

Founding Representation in China

AUMÜLLER opens its own representative office in Beijing for the marketing of products in Asia.

Introduction of KSL Chain Drives

Extension of the product range with another Chain Drive (KSL) in 24 V DC and 230 V AC versions for SHEV and Ventilation.

VdS-approve the SHEV-Control Units

TThe energy supplies for SHEV Control panels are certified as building products by VdS Cologne according to EN 12101-10 and the VdS guideline 2593 for SHEV Systems in stairwells

AUMÜLLER develops and introduces the new Locking Drive FVM. Thanks to its stainless steel housing with a cross-section of only 25 x 25 mm as well as the integrated programmable electronic sequence control, it is ideally suited for profile-integrated assembly.

A new series of the PLA Spindle Drives with improved performance characteristics and new, programmable switch-off and control electronics is introduced and presented at the Interschutz trade fair.

Foundation of the Michael Aumüller Academy

The Michael Aumüller School centre opens and offers specialist seminars and product training courses on all aspects of smoke and heat ventilation and natural ventilation.

The product range expands with the new Chain Drive KS2 for SHEV and ventilation, the first drive with "true" electronic speed control to have a speed independent of load.

Certificate as the Manufacturer of "ferralux®-NRWG" according to EN1201-2

After successful completion of initial testing of drives with windows of various profile systems and the introduction of a factory production control, AUMÜLLER is certified by the notified product certification body of the Institute for Window Technology ift-Rosenheim as a manufacturer of natural smoke and heat exhaust ventilators (NSHEV) according to DIN EN 12101-2.

The marketing of NSHEV as European Building Products begins under the brand name "ferralux®-NRWG".

Certificate as installer of SHEV-Systms

AUMÜLLER is certified by the German Central Assosication of the Electrical Industry (ZVEI) as an installer of SHEV-Systems.

The new generation of modular Control Units type EMB8000 with modern data bus technology for SHEV and natural ventilation are introduced.

Annerose and Reiner Aumüller take over the management

After the unexpected, sudden death of the company founder Michael Aumüller on 25.06.2011, his wife, Annerose Aumüller, and brother, Reiner Aumüller, take over management of the company.

Due to these new circumstances, the corporate design is redesigned and the company name is given priority, instead of the product brand.

Relocation to the new administration building in Thierhaupten

The administration building planned by Michael Aumüller at the Thierhaupten site is completed.

With the move of the administration on 03.04.2012 from Augsburg to Thierhaupten, the AUMÜLLER company is reunited at one location again after 18 years and celebrates its 40th anniversary on 09.11.2012.

First Environmental Product Declarations (EPD)

AUMÜLLER creates Envrionmental Product Declarations (EPD) for its products, in which the ecological balance over the entire product life cycle is shown.

The entire Corporate Design gets revised and unified again. The focus is on the service areas "ferralux®" for SHEV, "vent" for ventilation and "service" for services related to the products manufactured.

The product and sales documents, as well as the Internet and Trade Fair presence are adapted to the new corporate design in terms of content and design.

Florian Aumüller joins the company

Florian Aumüller - son of the Company Founder Michael Aumüller - strengthens the management team from 01.07.2015 as authorised signatory.

Adamas Award for outstanding Corporate Culture

At the FENSTERBAU FRONTALE trade fair in Nuremberg, AUMÜLLER AUMATIC presented various new developments and shows that the ideas and innovation are not running out in Thierhaupten.

During the trade fair, the employees of AUMÜLLER AUMATIC were awarded the Adamas Award for outstanding Corporate Culture by the editorial staff of mbz, which is published by Adamas Media & More GmbH.

VFE - new association for window automation and smoke exhaust

A new, virtual centre for air is created. As a founding member, AUMÜLLER AUMATIC GmbH has been involved from the very beginning when new directions are set in Germany for the improvement of air quality and comfort in buildings. The members of the association also attach great importance to the safety of persons and material assets in case of fire.

Reiner Aumüller, Managing Director of AUMÜLLER AUMATIC GmbH, is elected Chairman of the Board of the newly founded VFE.

AUMÜLLER AUMATIC GmbH is one of the Innovation Leaders of German medium-sized companies in 2017 and has been awarded the TOP 100 Seal in the category "Climate of Innovation" by Ranga Yogeshwar, Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke and compamedia for its innovation success.

New KSA Chain Drive with AUMÜLLER-Click

The high performance all-rounder drirve for window automation is presented for the first time at the BAU 2017 trade fair. The new KSA can be used universally with 600 N pull and push force as well as 600 mm stroke, even with heavy windows. In the pulling direction, the 600 N can even be used up to a stroke of 1500 mm. During the further developments from previous models, numerous suggestions were taken into account from the practical experience of architechts, planners and AUMÜLLER partners.

Florian Aumüller takes over Technical Management

On 1st October 2017, Florian Aumüller - son of company founder Michael Aumüller - takes over the Technical Management from Reiner Aumüller, who leaves the company and retires after 41 years of service. This means the second generation of the founding Aumüller family will be fully anchored in the company's future. As Technical Manager, Florian Aumüller will also take over the areas of design and development as well as the patent business.

With immediate effect, Ramona Meinzer and Florian Aumüller will jointly lead the company in its second generation, as Chairwoman of the Management Board and Managing Director of Technology, respectively. Annerose Aumüller will leave the company on 31.12.2021 for well-earned retirement.
 

Commissioning of the Schirmer machining center

On 16th May, the Schirmer machining center for the automatic production of aluminium housings for window drives was put into operation. The approximately 100 m² system produces up to 150.000 housing profiles per year, with short set-up times and flexible production sequence. Costing a total of 750.000 Euros, the procurement of the center represents the largest single investment in the history of AUMÜLLER AUMATIC.

AUMÜLLER AUMATIC wins TOP 100 innovator of German medium-sized companies again.

On 29th June, AUMÜLLER AUMATIC GmbH was awarded the TOP 100 seal for the second time in a row. The award was presented by Ranga Yogeshwar, Dr. Nikolaus Franke and compamedia at the 5th German SME Summit in Ludwigsburg. In the independent selection process, AUMÜLLER AUMATIC particularly impressed with its innovative success and its external orientation.

AUMÜLLER AUMATIC wins TOP 100 Innovator award for the third time

At the 26th edition of the TOP 100 Innovation competition, AUMÜLLER AUMATIC GmbH again made the leap among the best and was awarded on 28th June by the mentor of the competition, Ranga Yogeshwar, the scientific head of comparison and compamedia in the Frankfurt Jahrhunderthalle. In the independent selection process, the company with 150 employees was particularly convincing with the innovation climate and in the area of "external orientation / open innovation".

New Heavy Duty Chain Drive KS15

Maximum Power. Many possibilities. The AUMÜLLER heavy duty Chain Drive KS15 sets standards in performance, handling and design.

With a concentrated force of 1.500 N, the KS15 can open large and heavy elements up to 1000mm within 60 seconds. Thanks to the intelligent S12 electronics, a large number of parameters can be adapted quickly and flexibly, for example, synchronised multiple operation and the implementation of a sequence control.

New Locking Drive FVUx

The new FVUx Locking Drive is an all-rounder for all locking applications, thanks to its compact dimensions and universal mounting options in three variants.

With 600 N pull and push power, even large windows can be unlocked quickly and safely. The short and slim design of just 415 x 26 x 26 mm (L x B x H) enables the FVUI version to be integrated by concealed mounting in a variety of profiles. The FVUB and FVUR variants offer an inconspicuous surface-mounted assembly on inwards or outwards opening windows.

AUMÜLLER receives the German medium-sized business award “TOP 100 Innovation Award” for the fifth time in a row.

Florian Aumüller left the company on October 1st 2021 to pursue new challenges. The sole management was taken over by Ramona Meinzer.
